My Band of Monkeys...

I guess I'm in a band now. Lynn, Angie, Erin and I went to Erin's after Caffeine's open mic and played around with some music and improvized lyrics. I played guitar while Angie did some improvized amusing spoken word and Lynn and Erin hummed a wonderfully moving chorus melody. All in all, it was good and we are planning on showing off soon at the next open mic. Fun.

Dem. Nat'l Convention is on now and, man, Kerry has got thw presidential thumb-up gesture down. He's got my vote. If I had one.

Schoooooools... Out. For. The SUMMER!.... Well, the next couple of weeks anyway. Summer classes suck and are now over. I think I aced 'em both. But I did pretty poorly on the finals. Oh well... IT'S OVER!

Weekend Trips and Falls...

Went up to Lake Geneva this w.e. and it was... I don't really think there is any other word besides "eh." to describe it. I was unable to read my book at anytime, so I had to read the whole thing (minus about 50 - 60 pgs.) last nite. Then write a five - page report on it. Just before I was done with the paper, I realized it was only worth 10% of the course's final grade and kind of trailed off as far as any kind of continuity in my report goes.

Anyway. The weekend. Mostly spent either watching MST3K or "Dirty Pretty Things." Good stuff, yes, but I wanted to spend more time swimming/playing pool. However by the time all the rich white kiddies left the "clubhouse" where such activities were located, the tall police fellow told Matt, Katherine and I to leave. When I vowed to get up early and do such activities, I forgot how to. In other words, I just didn't. We went boating which was rather fun (despite my visor getting caught in the wind and falling into the lake). My sibs and I had plenty of fun riding the golf cart provided and Matt fell off at one point. I was laughing too hard to feel bad. I knew (and it did happen) that I would eventually be in the same place anyway later. We ate out every nite and morning and I had no time to work out at all. So, this week will be devoted to losing all that wisonsin cheese rather than catching up on sleep as I had originally planned.

I found myself thinking about Erin a whole lot this weekend as well. I had been dreaming about her a bit more frequently last week and it got me thinking (more than usual that is) about how everything could have happended the way it did. I really do miss her but can't even imagine us getting back together anymore because of all this time we've had apart and because of certain things she's told me about herself recently.

I think we're going to Caffiene tonight to attend an open mic. I don't really have any desire to read at this particular one anymore. Nor do I have the urge to even write much of anything anymore because it all leads back to how unhappy I am and how happy I was when I was writing for the purpose of open mics and slams and such. Its all tied in with the fact that the past isn't coming back no matter how much I think it should. Now if it did would it really make anyone happy, or would it just be me?

Oh, I have fun...

Oh boy, this was quite terrible.

I'm All For Screening...

Screening is the only way to keep shit like this of the internet. Living christ, how could you even give this shit webspace without the words "WE AT WOMEN'S WALLSTREET THOUGHT THIS WAS HILARIOUS."?

Fire your editors,
Mike

In other news...

Finished the entertainment center which completes the construction of "WORLD'S GREATEST ROOM."

Weird Dream.

No ellipses on this one. Just strange. Listen to this cast of characters:

- Myself
- Dustin Diamond (a.k.a. - "Screech" from "Saved By the Bell")
&
- Paris Hilton.

Either her sister or Nicole Ritchie was also involved in the dream, only with an off-screen mention. The three of us were in some lavish (but trashed) hotel room that belonged to Paris and her aforementioned counterpart.

Now, I don't think I need to explain to you that the dream was obviously sexual in nature (despite the fact I grow sick to the stomach to even see a Hilton girl on T.V.), and I will therefore not go into details. Just that at one point I was sitting on the edge of the bed while Screech and Paris were... going at it, and I... spanked him...

Ugh... I need to get to class. I feel so wrong right now.

Selling the Drama...

THAAA beachdabeachdabeachbeachdabeachdabeachbeachdabeachdabeach...

Went to the beach for the first time this summer yesterday with Lynn and Erin. They tanned while I tried to jump in the water. I had one of those moments like in cartoon where they jump and are then told to stop, so they screech to a halt in the air. Only I heard the screech, but I guess my brakes went out, so I splashed on in. I heard the life guard lady telling me about the high bacteria content of the water, so I had to get out.

Took some good film at the beach and I'm hoping to use it in a summer compilation video I plan on giving Lynn, Angie, and Erin. Just so they don't forget about Chicago when they are off loving being away.

After the beach, I gave Erin another guitar lesson. She learned "Selling the Drama" in like under an hour. She was so proud of herself. Man is it hard to be around her. Things are going well, I just wish I knew what was going on in her head. I want to just kiss her. But that would ruin everything we have I guess. But who cares considering what we have is basically nothing compared to what we had. I don't know.

She is just losing my head.

I Rebuke...

Ok... I apologize about the Mrs. Seagul thing. That was kinda harsh. But anyway, the story goes that she was this little, old lady who was barely 5' tall and had hair that kinda formed a basket in the back of her head. I knew a kid who got in trouble once for throwing paper in this basket-like hair of hers, too. Me, being the bastard that I was, basically made her life a hell from the ages of 9-12 when she was a substitute for my class.

I think I'm gonna get that entertainment center I told you all about from IKEA. Break it into two pieces, and I will still be able to keep my dresser. Nice, huh?

Once again, I apologize. This 80th post was pointless.

BTW...

Happy Birthday, Katherine. 16 years is a long time to not die in. Enjoy the stereo and very returnable clothing from OLD NAVY.

Technologyless Weekend...

Happy fourth, all... Not that I care too much for the holiday, but still...

Anyway, Blogger was not working (as usuala) at all this weekend, so I cannot remember everything I did or wanted to say, but I will still try.

- Bought myself a Phillips 20" Flat Screen T.V. for my (still entertainment centerless) room.
- Finished my closet organizer and started moving back up there.
- Still cannot move in totally until I get the entertainment center. (Hopefully from IKEA)

Okay, well, gotta get to class. I have a sub, but I was never one to disrespect the subs... Unless it was Mrs. Seagul. (I mean, just look at the name.)

TASTE THIS.

I had Pad Thai, a Barbeque Beef Sandwich, a foot-long Polish Dog, Italian Ice, and ice cream... Lots of ice cream...

Thats right houseplants, The Taste Of Chicago. Not only did Sammy blast the Cubs to a 5-4 win, but it was a picture perfect afternoon and evening in our great city. Lynn, Erin, Rachel and I all went downtown for the first time together this summer and had ourselves a day.

We ate, walked, rested at Buckingham Fountain, took pictures, ate some more... Just an all around great time, kiddies. *Woah, just burped up Pad Thai noodles... Sorry.*

Anyway, Erin was very effectionate and it was great to feel her against me for the day. Our trainrides were... Eventful as always. Rachel said she had never seen anybody do the things I did on the train before. *I won't tell you what that is, because I'm going to keep you in suspense like that*

Angela... Sorry you couldn't be there. But don't worry, I'm already planning out our next movie night!
