Strange Dream...
So the other night, I had this amazingly detailed dream... Apparently Vicky and I had some sort of power that gave us the ability to moderately fly at low altitudes. It involved not only our powers but some sort of object. I don't think it was a wand but from trying to remember what it felt like to hold it was more like an egg beater with a dial on it. Weird. I know.
Anywho, that isn't the strange part. Not only could we fly, but I needed to in order to defeat Vick. That's right, I was fighting her! It wasn't an adversarial thing like good vs. evil. We were both good but something was corrupting her mind in some way. Clearly, I have been watching WAY TOO MUCH Star Trek in recent weeks. I was did not want to kick her ass but I had to. The dream started as the fight was already underway so I had no back story or known objective. Something in me made sure I was triumphant, though and that's all I had to go on.
It was night. It was in or around my house the whole time. Mostly in my backyard and garage. At one point, she was kicking my ass from a distance and I managed to hide in the garage and regain my strength. I exited the garage and painfully walked towards her and attempted to fly over the house and into the front yard but something was much more difficult on this particular flight. Still, I managed to liftoff and slowly rise up and over the house. Anyone who has ever had a dream about flying knows how freaking awesome it is to dream about flying. That feeling was consistent throughout.
Getting over the house and seeing Vicky in the front yard, I managed to tackle her in midair and wrestle her to the ground. There, I pinned her and forced myself to wail into her... For the good of humanity (and her), remember. Wow. I don't really think I want to analyze this one much more... BUT HERE'S HOW IT ENDS!
Finally, battered and bruised, I came out as the winner. I could feel my powers returning to normal as well as feel the evil inside her flee. She lay on the ground sort of tired looking and bruised, but not nearly as battered as me. She turned on her side to face me kneeling next to her and said, 'I can't wait to move to L.A. with you.'
It was such a weird dream and aside from the whole having-to-beat-on-my-girlfriend part, it was one of those awesome-feeling dreams. Just please, don't analyze it. Vicky and I love Harry Potter and I have been watching too many season 3 episodes of 'Enterprise.' That's it.
Speaking of the move to L.A. - I couldn't get to sleep last night, so I stayed up until 4 a.m. planning and envisioning our trip. From the road trip to the actual move itself to the apartment we may move into with Dave and his roommate. It was one of those sort of impractical/sort of practical visions where I think about necessary things like our route and budgets as well as superfluous things like how I am going to pack my Achewood posters and where I am going to put them in the place based on the grainy photos I've seen of the interior from Dave's Blackberry.
Sufficed to say, this is me excited.
