Area Codes & Road Maps...

Sad. No one carries with them the same area code they once did...

So Molly hit a woman with her car today at Woodfield just after I made off like a bandit with some new pants and a new polo. The only reason I'm mentioning it here is because she told me to wipe it from my memory. Molly was watching the road to her left while trying to make a right turn out of the parking lot when she saw an openning and pounced!

...

Only problem was that there was a minivan right in front of us...

I screamed for Molly to stop, but there was a crazed look in her eye that said... "No..."

...

I'm just kidding. Molly hit the lady pretty good and then she waited a while and I thought we were going to be stuck in smelly ol' Schaumburg for a while. She comes out, looks at her bumper and goes back into her car... HUH?! She didn't even look at us! It was kinda surreal. I mean, did she figure the shock that rocked her car forward was a natural process?

Anyway. Yeah. New pants & TRAMPOLINES ARE DANGEROUS AND FUN ALL ROLLED UP INTO ONE!

I call it "fungerous."

Yojimbo

"I have to buy a coffin."

"No! Don't give up!"

"Idiot! I'm not dying yet. I have quite a few men to kill first."

These keys aren't that close...

I hang out with Steve and Molly almost daily. This is great... However, I need to hang out with Sonja or I will end up a whispy bachelor with cats. I'm not saying Sonja and I have a real chance together or anything, but how am I ever going to have any meaningful relationship if all I do is play Worms Armageddon and eat wings. Steve wants me to do something, anything right now concerning Sonja.

She is such a great gal. She was a friend when I needed one badly and she took to heart a lot of things I had to say and to offer her...

DAMNITT! IT WAS HER THAT PLANTED THE IDEA IN MY HEAD IN THE FIRST PLACE!

So we got tickets to the Iowa Grain Great America trip for the first time in years. The last time I was there was when I took Erin on our second anniversary... Which is also the reason when I thought of bringing Sonja along I got really sad. Not for myself or my nostalgic-ass method of living, but for Erin. I got pretty sad because for a second there I felt as though I was trivializing a very dear memory of ours...

Nonetheless... I will be going with my brother...

...

I need to figure out this Sonja thing real fast.

Long Time, No Blog...

Well well well... Sorry its been a while. Had some stuff to do.

Downloaded about 4 or 5 gigs of music in about a day's time (all from one guy), and I've been enjoying my new collection of Joni Mitchell, Two Lone Swordsmen, Badly Drawn Boy (ahhhh, a nice re-visit to sophomore year of HS), Air, Tindersticks, Múm, Lali Puna, Caribou, even the new Death Cab for Cutie album is pretty nice.

BUT WAIT. THERE'S MORE.

We played our first game on saturday. My shoulder is still torn to shreds, but I was productive at the plate. Not enough, though. We got blanked 4 - 0. Steve pitched pretty well once he got settled in. I started at 2nd and played solid defense.

May 4th... No. Not 4 years. Not at all. Its the day I find out if I need surgery or not on my shoulder.

Finished my honors requirements for Shakespeare class and did a darn good job, too. You try to convince a woman who has spent her entire life reading the Bard that Iago is actually a homosexual...

I am really enfatuated with Sonja. Still no progress on that front however. It needs to be right. However, I don't know if waiting any longer will do anything but harm our chances together... *Sighs* She made me write the best piece in recent memory and I plan on turning it into a song sometime soon.
