Nicole 2: Shorter but just as Lovely

Ok, got off my high horse of being too depressed all the time to go out with any Oakton people, and... well... went out with one. I - well, damnitt, I actually had a good time. That needs backstory... The backstory is that my acting class is filled with great people. One of them, if I can quote her correctly, is intent on "turning on the light," referring to my constant state of loneliness/reservedness. That needs backstory... After confirming the fact that she had become my friend, she heard much of my sobstory about life and such over a few very intense phone calls...

...

That needs backstory... these phone calls consisted mostly of the whole "figuring you out" stuff. But not the trivial "figuring you out" stuff, more like the philosophies of life and moral values stuff... That needs backsto - ... Sorry.

Anyway, the night was great. It was your basic movie then out to eat shindig. We saw "Ladder 49" and then went to Buffalo Wild Wings and chatted s'more until around 11:30 or so. Sonja's a real treat to talk to. We share many of the same opinons on life and how to live give or take your typical stanse on drinking and such. I have resumed my long-lost role of advice giving and it has been well recieved and appreciated. I am glad to have met Sonja, and she looks so much like Nicole!!!

...

That DOES need backstory...

Sonja and Nicole (my long-lost bestest and most trustworthy friend... who I just so happened to not speak with since... oh, you know... 6 months ago) have very similar eyes; the piercing pale-blue ones, y'know the type. Same blonde (naturally darker though) hair, and not to mention Sonja called me "slick"... Ok, not really distinctive, but it was something Nicole called me oh so long ago...

In other news... Stayed in my bro's new home last weekend and I enjoyed it. Really cool place considering the price he is paying and the fact that it is still in Urbana. Good stuff. And Matt, your decorative skills will never cease to amaze me and warm the cokcles of my heart...

Spoke with Erin for the first time in... forever last night while waiting for "The Passion of the Bush" to start. (That needs backstory... which won't come, sorry.) She had told me an amusing little anecdote about how her mom found two very special gifts I had given Erin a long time ago. Both of which are clothing... Both of which will be mainstays in my dreams and fantasies until the day I stop loving her. It was great to have her bring up these things from our past in warm remembrence and fondness. I can't believe I still say this and mean it more everytime... But I can't wait for her to come home... She is... Just Beautiful.
